We have two shops in Essex, as there are some things which just cannot be sent out with Internet orders. Items like Chicken Flatties for example, but these are in great demand, so to be safe give us a call in advance to place an order. Some products are seasonal and others may depend on importing regulations.
You can also expect to buy only the FRESHEST BILTONG, DROEWORS AND SNAP STICKS - packed in a paper packet of course!
In addition we offer a LEKKER CHAT about sports (all Sharks supporters are very welcome!), the old country (whether SA or Zim) and anything else you have on your mind. For those missing home there is always a hug ready if you want one! Julle is almal welkom om te kom kuier 'n bietjie. For Afrikaans-speaking customers wanting to exercise your mother tongue - Charmaine in Chelmsford shop is fluent and Evelyn will give it a try, but may not be too fluent! Jeanette is learning fast.

Our Basildon Shop and Factory is about 20 mins from the M25 and close to the A13. easily found by your GPS/Phone, we have customer parking available. All our products are made in our own factory and are available to the public.
Our shops operate on a Loyalty Card system - you give us your details and we will reward you with super discounts on meat products as your card fills up.

Members of our team will be in attendance to help you with your biltong selection. Jeanette, Evelyn and Lorraine know their Biltong! A vital member of our production team, Gill is busy cutting meat in the factory, even though she is a vegetarian - good to employ as she doesn't eat our profits! Our production team, do the cutting, mincing, spicing and hanging duties. Lorraine handles internet orders and Graham, our butcher, ensures we have plenty of stock. We are a happy team and will be working together to ensure your satisfaction.

Our shop is situated a few minutes from the city centre of Chelmsford, it takes a mere 30 - 35 mins to reach from Brentwood, Braintree, Bishops Stortford, Colchester and Harlow and is easily accessible from all other parts of Essex. Charmaine manages the shop and is heeltemaal tweetaalig.
Stocking our renowned Biltong, Droëwors, Snap Sticks and Boerewors, made from only the best meat available, as well as a range of 300 odd South African grocery products, and a few surprises from time to time, the Chelmsford shop is well worth a visit.

Directions:
From central Chelmsford take Parkway and follow signs towards Broomfield Hospital. Where the road splits, keep right (A1016), still following Hospital signs. Pass the University on your right and at the Chelmer Valley Road roundabout take the first road off onto Valley Bridge. At the top of the hill are traffic lights - turn right into Broomfield Road (B1008). Immediately after the pedestrian crossing (traffic lights) take the first left into Skerry Rise. Up Skerry Rise, then first to the right (Berwick Avenue). Then first left into Woodhall Road. The parade of shops is on your left and there is parking in front.
From the A1016 take the Valley Bridge exit from the Chelmer Valley Road rounbdabout. Continue straight on Valley Bridge to the traffic lights at intersection with Broomfield Road (B1008). Turn right into Broomfield Road, then first left after the pedestrian crossing (traffic lights) into Skerry Rise. Up Skerry Rise then first right (Berwick Avenue) and first left into Woodhall Road. the parade of shops is on your left and there is parking in front of our shop and tweetalige Charmaine is there to help you.
