SHIPPING POLICY
 
Where we deliver
 
We deliver to addresses throughout the United Kingdom. We are not currently able to ship outside the UK, including to EU destinations.
 
Most UK Mainland orders are handled without issue. Deliveries to certain postcodes in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and other remote areas may take an extra day and carry a small additional charge. You can check this at checkout using the Shipping Quote tool before you pay.
 
 
Delivery charges
 
Free delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £50 that contain no frozen products.
 
Deliveries to remote postcodes (Scotland, Northern Ireland, etc.) are sent by 2-day tracked courier and may carry an additional charge.
 
If you provide your mobile number or email at checkout, DHL will contact you directly with delivery updates.
 
 
Dispatch times
 
Place your order before 12 noon, Monday to Thursday, and we will do our best to dispatch within 48 hours. If anything prevents this, we will contact you by phone or email.
 
We do not dispatch frozen products (Boerewors, steak, and similar) on Fridays. DHL deliveries made on a Friday arrive the following Monday, and we will not send frozen goods that risk sitting over a weekend.
 
Once a parcel has left us, delays caused by Royal Mail or DHL are outside our control.
 
 
Delivery notes
 
- Please include any special delivery instructions at checkout. By the time your dispatch email arrives, it is too late to redirect the parcel or add notes.
- If you are unlikely to be home, consider using a work address or asking a trusted neighbour to receive the parcel.
- Frozen products will be left at a neighbour's address or, if that is not possible, at your front door. A photo of the delivery is taken and available on request.
- If you are ordering for a specific date, please order with as much notice as possible.
 
 
Click & Collect
 
You can collect your order in person from our Basildon or Chelmsford shops. Select Click & Collect at checkout and we will notify you when your order is ready.
 
 
Returns
 
If you are not happy with any product, contact us at orders@biltongdirect.co.uk within 24 hours of receiving your order. We will reply within 24 hours and arrange a replacement within 14 days where a product is faulty or unsatisfactory.
 
Our promise is simple: if something is wrong, we fix it.
 
 
Refunds
 
- If an item is out of stock or no longer available, we will refund you for that item in full.
- Before processing a refund, we will contact you to offer an alternative or replacement.
- If you decline a replacement, a refund is issued immediately. Allow up to 5 working days for funds to appear in your account.
- If a parcel arrives damaged, note the word "DAMAGED" when signing for it and send us photographs of the damaged packaging straight away. We log the weight of every outgoing parcel and will send a replacement or apply a credit to your next order.
 
 
Cancellations
 
To cancel an order, call us on 01268 727877 within 12 hours of placing it, then confirm by email within the same 12-hour window.
 
If payment has already been taken, a full refund will be issued. If the parcel has already been dispatched, we are unable to refund until the goods are returned to us in acceptable condition.
